I called the shop on a Monday and Tuesday to check if a 10 ft truck was available which they said yes. Called in Thursday to reserve 10ft which was available the employee took my name and number said I was good. Come Friday no more ten ft and have only 26 foot. I didn’t want it but had to use it and I was charged more because they said they didn’t have my reservation.

Called today 3/16 inquiring about what trucks they had available and the cost. Employee on phone gave a cocky what are you looking for? kind of reply. Pretty rude if you ask me. Top it off, they didn't even realize who I was..... But 17000 some ppl in our city know. FYI I took my businesses to Horizon, much friendlier there.

First, Nathaniel, the only employee on-site, was unfailingly polite and tried to be accommodating, but working with U-Haul today has been a nightmare. The 10' truck was reserved 1 month ago for pick up today. Last night, we received an email that there was no 10' truck available and so we would receive a 15' truck at more extra charge...not what we wanted, but we accepted it. When we got there to pick it up today, it "couldn't be released" because it was being "transferred for service." There was no other truck available. Nathaniel took our number and apologized profusely. He called within 45 minutes to let us know that a 15' truck had just been returned, so we ran back over. He couldn't make the original reservation work, so we made a new reservation. We were leaving when some ladies showed up to turn in a 10' truck. We asked if we could have it and he said that it also was being transferred. We sat down and called customer service ourselves and a customer service rep named Madison fixed it in about 5 minutes. Nathaniel mentioned several timea how unresponsive U-Haul is to dealers in twrma of helping them solve problems like ours. We wasted 3 hours we nemeses for loading the truck just trying to pick up the truck. I guess my take aways are: 1) To U-Haul, a reservation means nothing. 2) Local employees can give and receive keys and take payments, but not much else. 3) Give yourself an extra day when renting a U-Haul product because the pick up proves is clunky and inefficient.
