Beware! The people running this U-haul location are downright thieves. They will add extra mileage on your contract and NOT refund your money. After denying that they made an error, it became clear that someone on their end reported the mileage incorrectly. My interactions were mostly with Megan, who is fully aware of the situation and knows that they made an error on the contract. However, she says that she doesn't authorize refunds, so she refers me to someone named Kevin. According to Megan, Kevin was supposed to contact me along with other customers who were also experiencing discrepancies with their contracts on a particular day. Had I not read the reviews about this place, I would've believed Megan to be as dishonest as their mileage reporting habits are. Apparently, Kevin is a real person. Unfortunately, I can't say for sure, as the degenerate has never called me. It's been weeks since they stole my money and admitted to it. However, my refund continues to be denied. Megan seems to be the only point of contact for this poor business practicing, shady establishment. I also reached out to "Territory Manager" Samantha Hopkins, on several occasions. I guess she and Kevin operate from the same useless U-Haul operations manual as she has never returned any of my phone calls. I called Customer Service/Corporate, they are as ineffective and incompetent as everyone else in this situation. Customers, take your business elsewhere. This has been a very unpleasant experience. U-Haul on Churchland Blvd are thieves and they know it. It is clear that falsifying contracts is how these people operate. Steer clear of these deplorable individuals with questionable business practices, they are quite fine with lying and stealing the customer's money.

While I had the truck, I called to give them a different card number for the additional mileage charges and they said they would call me the next day after the truck was turned in to get the card number. I told them DO NOT charge the card on file, call me for the other card number. They said that was fine and never told me it was a problem to use a second card number. The next day, when I didn't hear from them, I called 5 times and it just rang busy. Then, they charged my card (the on i told them specifically NOT to use) which overdrew my account. In addition, they charged me $17 for not filling up the gas (but I left it with more gas than when I rented it and took a picture of the gas gauge and mileage. Let me say, Meg and Kevin and Will were VERY apologetic and sincere when accepting responsibility for the mistake. After a few calls back and forth, the managers Meg and Kevin told me I would be refunded for the total amount and that their "field manager" Ed would be in touch about the refund. two days later- Ed called me. HE WAS RUDE FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE CALL. First, he tried to argue with me about the gas. THEN, kept cutting me off when I was trying to explain what happened with the charges to the wrong card. He even got LOUD WITH ME and was VERY SARCASTIC. I've NEVER EXPERIENCED WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM A "MANAGER" IN MY LIFE!!!!!!!! I can't believe he has a job. I was almost in tears after the call and finally had to hang up because he was DEFINITELY not trying to help me, just argue with me. When I called back to talk to the location managers, they were very surprised that all he offered to do was refund the $17 gas fee. TO TOP IT ALL OFF, THEY DOUBLE CHARGED ME $96.41 THE NEXT DAY. I've had to stop my account and order a new card. The traffic manager Bridgette contacted me. She denied a refund also and told me it would take up to 10 days to get my $96 back that shouldn't have been charged. She's going to "see what she can do about the other stuff" but I'm not hopeful. Obviously Corporate couldn't care less about customer service- if they did, Ed wouldn't be employed there as a field manager. I'm confused as to why Meg or Kevin aren't the people in charge. Everyone else "ABOVE" them don't seem to give a S#%@ about customer service or ethics.

Let's see where do I begin, if I could give this place 0 stars I would. I rented a trailer from them Sunday morning. It started out well. I wanted a 5x9 utility trailer with ramp. Told the associate that I needed one way and I was heading to Richmond (2hrs away). He typed everything up and told me my total was $27.45. I was cool with it and swiped my card. Then I asked him do I need to set up a destination and he said just drop it off at any uhaul. I said ok. Then I asked for a receipt and he said it's all emailed to me, no problem. I get to my destination with the trailer and a charge from uhaul for $227.75 pops up on my account and destination was changed to Austin Texas. So I couldn't return the trailer that day because I had to wait for them to fix my destination. Now here's the fight for refund of my money. Had to talk to several different people to get a refund. Finally when I get that going. My original total is $27.45, they charged me 227.75. Only returned 142.95. I'm still short $57.35. If the associate made a mistake and charged me the wrong price from the start, that's on him and not me. When I walked out the door, we were both in understanding that I rented a one way trailer Richmond VA from Portsmouth VA for $27.45. Whether he did it right or not is on him. You can't charge a customer whatever you want outside of what they signed for because that's fraud. All in all, this place is a bunch of crooks and I would suggest go elsewhere. Just read the rest of the comments. I'm not the only one.
