  Excellent experience overall, and definitely the way to go for a move the size of ours (basically one bedroom of furniture moved approx 900 miles one-way). Everyone affiliated with UPack was professional, courteous and helpful...particularly the Local driver and persons I spoke with at the local facility. I would have given 5 stars but there were a couple of little mix-ups re our movers picking up the contents at the destination site (pod couldn't be dropped at residence due to parking restrictions). No one from UPack previously mentioned they only allowed unloading at that particular site until after noon...despite several prior phone conversations to discuss the unload process (movers were scheduled for early in the morning). There was also a minor 'glitch' allowing our movers access to the pod when they arrived at the UPack facility. All was resolved somewhat quick/easy...just would have preferred a little clearer communication from UPack about those things to avoid last minute scrambling. FWIW - Upack website is correct. Success of the move depends on how well YOU pack the pod. Fortunately I got help from a friend with experience placing boxes, and strapping everything in. We had one tall piece of furniture that had to be laid down, while most boxes were filled with fragile items. To make things work, we built a temporary shelf/floor...hung to the walls via hooks inserted into existing metal slots in the pod walls. Worked like a charm (though admittedly I held my breath until the doors were opened post drop-off).

  The Macon branch was very polite and courteous on the phone when scheduling my trailer pick up. The driver was super friendly and helpful as well. Now…ABF as a whole…not a bad deal. Kind of pricey if you ask me for the condition of the bulkheads and the trailer floors. My trailer had no bugs of any kind when I was loading it and prior to transport…but upon arrival it was infested with ants! Totally unsure of how that happened…but it did. I would definitely recommend ABF though to someone who did not want to drive a uhaul across the country!

  U-Pack was a good service. It was less expensive than some other moving companies, but the relocube is also considerably smaller, so keep that in mind. I was moving from Tucson, Arizona to Warner Robins, Georgia and I will say everything went fairly smoothly. My drop off and pick up in Arizona and Georgia were all routine with no issues. My biggest issue was the delivery. The paperwork says 5-7 business days (estimated... that's how they get you) and my cube arrived in 11 business days, after being delayed twice. I found myself being frustrated thinking that if I had kept the cube longer than the 3 days allotted to pack and unpack, they would've charged me more, but they have no responsibility for the same kind of delays. Otherwise I was happy with the people and service.
