  We used U-Pack to move across the country and loved how easy and worry-free it was. The driver dropped our trailer off in our driveway (on a narrow residential street!), we filled up what space we needed, they picked it up and then dropped it off at our new residence a week later. It was so nice to not have to worry about towing a large trailer and our belongings were in the condition we had packed them, with a only little shifting throughout the move, of course. We ended up not using as much of trailer as we had planned, so our price was reduced to reflect that! Both service centers were easy to contact, prompt, and professional. Highly recommend and will use them again!

  If you are military/government and are using U-Pack for your please read this review. U-Pack hired ABF to haul our house hold goods to our new duty station. When the ABF truck was being unloaded our boxes were wet along with furniture wrapping. There was a whole in the ceiling of the ABF truck. It rained and the water got inside the truck. Boxes and furniture soaked up the water. We had to put our stuff in storage because of the housing market we are unable to find a house. When I went to make a claim the claim department said open all the boxes and yak pictures of damaged items. I tried to explain I was in a storage unit. There was no room for me to pack and unpack boxes. I said even if I had the room I hired movers to help lift boxes because somewhere to heavy. The rep suggested the movers help me. I asked if U-Pack would cover that cost. It was $900 for a four hour job. She told me no. I sent pictures of my damaged wood furniture and leather couches. The claims department have not responded to my claim. Next nightmare… ABF drivers didn’t weigh the truck correctly. When our weight tickets got turned into TMO we were told we would only get paid for less then half of our estimated weight. I have kept all TMO paperwork from all of our PCSs. So I know what our weight should be estimated at. So far we are out the money we were saving to help with closing costs of our new home.

  We've heard horror stories of fake moving companies and after asking for recommendations from friends, we ended up using U-Pack. Other full service companies charged >$8K and required a video tour your of our home, which I was not comfortable with (Pictures ok). Additionally we were getting rid of many of our furniture, so a video tour would show items we were not moving. Since they charge by weight (which is estimated) in their pricing, that's a problem. With U-Pack we just paid for the space we used (2 cubes) at a flat rate, no hidden fees, and no extra charges for larger furniture or weight. We paid ~$3K to move from OK to UT, which included insurance. U-Pack is cheaper even if you hire movers to load and unload. Another issue we had with other moving companies was that they would have transferred custody of our stuff to different moving companies, and it wasn't clear who would pick-up, deliver, or transfer. U-PACK offered consistency and a peace of mind. The whole process was simple and convenient. We will use this service again.
