Lara managed my in-law’s downsizing and move into a retirement community. My in-laws were not easy to work with but Lara was patient, kind, and professional. She and her team made great decisions, moved valuables with care, and made a multi-step move as smooth as possible. Lara even returned the week after the move to hang some life size paintings for my mother-in-law. Great communication and willingness to go the extra mile. Highly recommend!

My mother lives at Charlestown Senior Community. She moved from independent living to assisted living. I was told by the move manager at Charlestown to use Wayfort. They handle most of their moves. The move started early last year (2020), right before the pandemic started. This and the fact that she was in their long term rehabilitation building created a difficult situation. At the start I met with one lady who was very kind a professional. She provided a floor plan and estimate. This floor plan had to get approval from the Charlestown management, due to the move was to a smaller apartment. There was a lengthy pause put on ALL moves in the community due to COVID restrictions. We were unable to pack everything ourselves. Once the move was put back on the schedule the Charlestown staff moved most of the furniture themselves. They moved her bed, two dressers, two reclining chairs, kitchen table and chairs, some clothing, TV, and toiletries. I then met with the moving manager from Wayforth and she saw what was left. We were unable to finish packing ourselves. She made note that there was a lot left and questioned WHY we were moving the rest and not getting rid of it. I gave her the benefit of the doubt that she just came unprepared and was just not being rude. From the beginning we planned on taking the remaining items that would not fit to a storage facility. The day of the move I met with a third person who acted very surprised that everything wasn’t packed and they had to pack extra items. The plan now was to move the remaining items to the loading dock, .2 miles away, and the Charlestown employees would move all the items the rest of the way up. This however did not happen. Charlestown dropped the ball completely. Also it was at this point that Wayforth changed the price. Instead of the original $2700 it was $4700. The items were left at the loading dock and the manager left in a hurry. She had personal matter to take care of. She kept reminding me of this and that all this extra packing was not what she was expecting. Not sure why, when it was her boss that met with me just weeks earlier and saw what was left. The 4 movers and I preceded to the storage place and finished unloading in 30 minutes. The day was estimated that 4 men were needed for 7 hours. They worked for 7 hours, with lunch break, and were finished on time. Granted they had significantly less to do. Most large items were moved except one couch and entertainment center. They only had to bring to loading dock. Then came the invoice. They sent me an invoice for 55.8 hours of labor with a description of 4 men for 7 hours. That line item was 41.8 hours. Then they double billed me for labor for packing of 6.5 hours, then another 6.5 hours of labor for the supervisor. Then another $180 for that same supervisor. I asked for this invoice the day of the move but never got it. It wasn’t until we got a collection notice (April 2021) that I checked my email and saw in my spam that I got a reply in November, 3 months after the move. I confronted them and at first they only took off 4 hours of labor. I wanted to see if they would do the right thing on their own, but it wasn’t until I pointed out the fuzzy math and double billing did they only go half way. They changed the invoice structure to omit the the descriptions of the charges and now the invoice still sits at $3700 and they are still double billing. The 4 guys labor for 7 hours is 28 hours. They are still trying to charge for extra time to pack. They even tried to tell me they left their shop at 7 AM and returned at 7 PM. and I’m responsible for all that. I would never use this company even if was paid for by somebody else. Sad that they are managed by such crooked people. The men that actually did the move were excellent. They did a perfect job. They treated my moms stuff with respect and care. I felt bad. The move supervisor called me the day before JUST to tell me how much to tip them and that I HAD to tip them. I she would have kept her mouth shut I would have taken more.

Our family used Let’s Move in August, 2015 to move mom from our childhood home to an independent living facility. Let’s Move made a difficult job for us as easy as it could have been. From Georgia and the other office staff to Judy and her amazing teams, Let’s Move was professional, competent, and caring. They took care to move and arrange special furniture and items to duplicate how they looked at home. They also completely emptied our entire house, donating, auctioning, and disposing the contents as necessary, leaving it clean and ready to be listed the very next day for sale. It was a huge job and was done to perfection. The cost was reasonable and the final bill was under budget. I used Let’s Move again in February 2017 to move mom to assisted living. I can’t say enough good things about this company. They are the best.
