  Let me start by saying that I do not typically leave negative reviews. I had a great experience with Westmoreland Movers during the loading process. They demonstrated skill and professionalism when loading the truck. They took extreme care to pack everything tightly so that it did not move around or shift with the movement of the truck. After I saw how well they loaded the truck, I highly recommended them to other folks that I knew were moving. I really wish that I could speak as highly of the unloading process. When I spoke with the loading team and the appointment scheduler, I asked if they could come at 9am on that day as I had to have the truck returned by 12pm. 9am came and went and I received no communication until I received a text message at almost 12:30pm. I left voicemails at the company line, the phone number of the person that took my payment (prepaid BTW), and the cell phone number that I had from the loading team. A communication prior to 3.5 hours later would have been appreciated. Thinking that the movers weren’t coming, fortunately I had some friends and family come to my aid to get the truck unloaded and returned on time. Westmoreland Movers finally arrived at 2:30pm and assisted with getting the heavier furniture where it belonged. Since we had already unloaded the truck ourselves, the movers were done in an hour, yet we prepaid for 2. In the course of moving some furniture upstairs, my walls were scratched and will need to be repainted. I think that is just something that happens as part of moving, whether you move items yourselves or hire a moving company, but it was really the icing on the cake of this experience. I did leave another voicemail to see if I could be refunded for the second unused hour. I understand a 2 hour minimum but think this would classify as an extenuating circumstance. I also paid for slightly over 3 hours during the loading process. I will update this review if I hear back.

  My husband and I were all set to make a long move to Texas with another moving company almost a week ago. After four reschedules and no communication, they never showed, and we cancelled. Scrambling to find someone to pack our moving truck we rented at the last minute, we contacted Westmoreland Movers. They took the job, even though it was super short notice, showed up on time, were friendly, efficient, and helpful. They are literally the only thing that’s gone right about this move so far, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. They were wonderful and with their help, we were finally able to get on the road. 5/5 stars for sure!

  Absolutely great!!! Sam and his crew did a wonderful job with my move. They were careful with my furniture and belongings. The overall process went smooth. I moved approximately 45 miles and they have the job done from loading, travel and unloading in about 5 hours! Would definitely recommend Westmoreland Movers for your next move.
