  After years of planning and research, I finally took the plunge and bought a home down in Cali to get away from our infamous gloomy weather. My only pitfall was that I didn’t feel comfortable transporting all my belongings so far down on my own. I called around, and 1-800-PACK-RAT seemed to have the best deals. I ended up booking them to help me move, and they got all my belongings safely delivered to me right on schedule.

  Despite the negative reviews placed on this site, I had a great experience at the Puyallup location and with 1-800-Pack-Rat so far. I had my container loaded 4 months ago, had it in storage until now, loaded it today with more stuff as we are moving out of the area this weekend, and will be shipping it across country this coming weekend. Ryan and Juan specifically went out of their way to make my customer service experience outstanding. Despite the 6" of snow and normally not having their warehouse open because of the inclement weather (context: everything else is closed today, even the library!), they let me in, allowed me to access my POD because today is the only day I could have gotten to it before flying out in 2 days. THANK YOU GUYS!

  Horrible experience so far. The customer representatives I spoke with did not properly book a military move as instructed. After finding out from another service representative that weight tickets were not being taken I asked why if I specifically mentioned this being a military move. They said I needed yo ask for the service? Are you kidding me?! All military moves require weight tickets, this is not new. Today they were supposed to perform a 'swap' for the second container we booked. This is where they conveniently drop off and pick up a container at the same time. The driver mentioned he did not have the drop off container and that they would be coming at another time today. Why did the customer service rep tell me that they booked a swap when this was not going to happen? Now I have to wait around until they drop off the second container which prevents me from getting my moving errands done. So far moving with this company has been a big pain in the a$$. Not convenient and whatever they tell you they can do should not be taken seriously. For all military folks make sure you spell out every little detail for them because they say they do military moves but need instructions on doing so. Proceed with this companies services with caution!
