  This place was sold recently and the new company is off to a rough start from my perspective. We have rented space for over a year before it was sold. The new owners immediately slapped new locks on all the units and didn;t tell anybody. We were able to work our way through their website to determine how we get a code and get our storage open. In the meantime, there were customers all calling into their service number, on hold, for a long time. I'm hoping things get better.

As with any transition, there a few bumps along the way and we are confident those minor issues have been resolved. All tenants did receive notification that new locks were placed to secure the units and the unlock codes were provided.   I loved them before they changed hands. I was even a repeat customer!! When you come to your storage unit and there is a different lock on your unit that is so uncool!!! I will say that they did try to make the situation right but for me it just doesn't sit right in the age of technology that we are in that they had NONE of my information!! Needless to say I gave my notice and am no longer a client 🙃

  It was great as Extra Spaces storage… new ownership came in and placed one of their locks on every unit and didn’t tell anyone… I go out after thanksgiving dinner to get my Christmas decorations out of storage and can’t get in my unit… no one to talk too, and now I’ve been on hold over an hour. I don’t understand how it’s legal to lock everyone stuff up with no notification. I even called the night before Thanksgiving to make my payment t and the lady never said anything about how I would need to obtain my 4 digit code for their lock… go somewhere else that’s what I’ll be doing when I get my stuff out. I added photos to show they never told us about the new lock.

  Good Afternoon: We attempted to research your account to gain a better understanding of what occurred but we cannot locate you with the information provided. We apologize if our communication arrived late regarding the locks during this time of transitions. We truly understand how not being able to gain access to your belongings may be frustrating. Our DaVinci Locks are designed to be released by the tenant at their convenience. In part due to the ongoing pandemic supply chain issues, we had a hiccup in our usual facility transition standards. Moving forward tenants should always receive an email and/or SMS with the unlock code to any DaVinci Lock on the units - given that the account is paid current and you are able to verify account details. Nonetheless, we'd like to make it right as we are disappointed to hear of this as your experience. Please do not hesitate to reach back out to us so we can review your account further.
