  If I could give them -20 stars I would. Paid a deposit, confirmed the week of the move, Sat came and they never showed up.....no phone call, nothing. Their voice mail was full, couldn't leave a message. They finally called me late that evening and said "they'd had an issue with their phone." What company doesn't have multiple people with multiple cell phones with which they could have called a customer they've stood up. No other real explanation given, just vague apologies. They couldn't move us then for another 5 days so we ended up having to U-Haul it, and turns out you can hire loaders & unloaders through U Haul for a fraction of the price so why would you even need these undependable people. They did return my deposit, but that didn't make up for the MAJOR inconvenience they caused by just not showing up. Don't trust these people!

  Highly recommended. I don't usually write reviews. Even if I have a complaint, I tend to give a business an offline opportunity to fix things. When I was looking for a local mover, I researched several companies. Some of the negative reviews were horror stories. But one of those posters describe how Affordable Movers saved the day for them after a terrible experience with another company. That led me to other positive reviews, so I took a chance and schedule with Affordable Movers. They did not disappoint. The movers were professional, careful and very efficient. George honored the discount I asked about, and stuck to the quote he provided up front. Affordable Movers is a straight up operation. That's refreshing to find these days.

  The Move From Hell! NEVER again and DEFINITELY will not recommend. The movers did not demonstrate NOTHING that was explained to me during my initial call to them. For example: No wrapping of my furnitures., which by the way was rained while unloading from truck. The 2 movers (male and female) took no initiative to prevent my furnitures from getting wet (Videos taken). I caught the 20 yr old male sitting down in the back of the movers truck. The female did the best she could under the supervision of the 20 yr old male., whom by the way was wearing an ankle bracelet. May the Lord handle them for what they did to me including the extreme overcharge. The Battle is not my., its the Lord.
