I did not even get to the point of using these movers before the red flags started to appear. Searching for movers and considering all options is challenging enough- stay clear. I visited the website for a quote, after going through the prompted screens to gather information then I expected a general estimate (rates per hr, mileage fee, etc) Instead, I was promoted to a screen which told me someone would call. They did, sorta, I picked up the phone to an automated response then it dialed me in to a representative… hello this is Mike- Hi Mike, I’m looking to get a quote for my move… no response (I hung up) Then someone calls me back from somehow a number in my person phones area code (which is two states away and not where I live or am moving to/from)… odd. The call is then read from a prompted script- gathering information I already gave, making random remarks about guarantees and such. Which is fine, but I stop multiple times and say “I am not trying to book any services, I am looking to get a quote. And I am not even positive on a moving day” His response each time disregards me as he continues to go through the script. Then, THEN…. This guy asks me for my credit card number to guarantee my spot for their service. Again, never given any prices or quotes like the website indicates. I told him no thank you and hung up. Then I received an unsolicited text message from a service I never opted in for. This leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I do not trust them to move my things after the way they handled the preliminary process. Stay away!

They showed up late. They didn't want to do the move when they showed up..wanted to reschedule. They were supposed to pack a 2 bed and full basement but only brought 10 boxes. I had to run to uhaul and buy $300 in boxes. They complained all morning. I had rented a uhaul as well. They only filled their truck. They left after their truck was full. They took their truck to the city dump and threw all my belongings in the dump. Why...because I only paid my prequote price instead of $4000 bill.

Set up a move almost a month ago, received confirmation Tuesday 10.12 that it was scheduled and to reach out to them if I needed anything. Friday, October 15th the local office called to say that they can't meet their obligation due to staffing levels and couldn't move on the contracted date of 10.23. These issues weren't shared 3-4 weeks ago when they collected the initial payment and thanked me for "being part of their family now." Called to discuss, was hung up on after explaining that cancelling or moving the date wouldn't be an option and I needed to speak to a manager. Called back, got an "assistant operations manager" named Jonathan...he was respectful and nice, but told me that they have people scheduled off and sick and would have to push my date. I explained that it's tough to be sick for a move that was scheduled to take place 8 days from our conversation and their scheduling decisions shouldn't be the customers problem, as well as the date isn't an option as I have a closing date and other obligations. Typically I am empathetic and certainly understand the climate businesses are operating in today, but when it comes to moving, closing dates and your family, there is little to no flexibility and it also causes you to incur other expenses. Lesson learned, All My Sons Moving can't be a serious moving company to consider if you need them to honor the date you contracted their services for...did contact a local company in St. Louis, great customer service and it appears that things will be okay. My suggestion, use a locally owned business so you can actually talk to people who have a vested interest in the business.
