  I called Allegiance Moving based on customer reviews to move us from Texas to Michigan. Sadly, our experience was really bad. First, the salesman I spoke with never told me they were simply a broker, not a moving company as threefold title suggests. The salesman took our online inventory and went over it carefully. Then they had an estimator come physically to our home and he took an inventory. Yes, you would think they would have a very accurate inventory of everything we would be moving. But when their contracted mover showed up in a truck with graffiti all over it and leaking oil all over, I was told they were a contractor hired by Allegiance. I told them they might not be able to fit all our items on the box truck, they said they would and in addition they would be picking up a second load from another home. We’ll, they fit all of things on the truck but there was no room left so they said I’d have to pay them an additional $3800. We’ll, we had to be out of the house, so we paid it thinking that Allegiance would make it right,but they offered us $50 for out troubles!! Then the final straw was they wouldn’t be the ones moving us, they were putting our things in storage. You k ow the more times furniture and boxes are moved, the more likely damage is to occur. Bottom line, I just want others to be aware of Allegiance despite other reviews they may read.

  Absolutely the worst experience. Did a walk through estimate and felt really great about the customer service. The best customer service I’ve ever experienced. Was able to call with questions and receive answers within an hour. Did a final count and additional boxes was almost 3,000.00 more. We accepted the additional cost with confidence that everything was going to be easy from there. Four days before moving day: Ive been trying for 4 days to talk to someone from Allegiance. I’ve emailed and nothing. Moving day: Called Allegiance and no one could help me except they will mark it on there notes as urgent. 3,000.00 ended up being 8,000.00 extra when the movers came. We are having to rent a moving truck ourselves to move the furniture left behind and that 3,000.00 for the additional boxes that we already paid for will be ALL in the truck I have to rent and drive myself. Then having to come back to get my personal vehicle. If I could give Allegiance 0 ratings I would have. It has been an absolute nightmare. Please don’t be fooled with the great service once they get your first deposit cause your locked in and service declines to rock bottom. After your final estimate and the extra cost you will pay almost twice what they quoted you on moving day.

  This is a broker, not a moving company. The quote was less than half of what I ended up paying. The shippers themselves at both ends were terrific but they are independent of Allegiance. I wish I had known how to contact our shippers in the beginning rather than giving Allegiance any money. We were told at pick up that both the origin and final destination were considered remote which is additional. You can't tell me that a logistics company wouldn't have known that when I provided the zip codes for the quote. I work for a furniture company that ships all across the country and we know if an address is considered remote. No hidden surprises. Now I will find the reviews page for the ACTUAL shipping company and give them 5 stars. They were fast and had zero damage.

  Michelle, I am very sorry for the experience that you had with us. As for the additional charges for the shuttle truck that is a service that is charged by the moving company directly. It does state in our estimate that we are a broker. It also states that if a semi cannot easily access the home then there will be a cost for a shuttle truck. We do not charge for that service nor will we know if a shuttle is needed due to the fact that we do not transport the items and the movers will not know until it is time to pick up and deliver the items.
