First the salesman guaranteed the price would not go over regardless of the weight. However, when the contents were overweight the salesman want to renegotiate the term and wanted more money. The driver refused to start loading until the salesman came out to renegotiate, wasting two hours. The driver then proceeded to ask 3 separate times if he could leave at 5pm and not finish the job as promised. The new owners were coming the next day and we had to be out. We had to talk to the manager several times in order to have the driver stay and finish the job, as promised. Eventually the driver stayed for an extra 2 hours and got the job done. When the driver arrived at our new house, he did the minimum to get things done. I had a dresser that needed to go upstairs. The driver refused to even try to get it upstairs. He told me that if I could get it upstairs he would give me his paycheck. Big surprise, with the help of two friends we got the dresser upstairs. When the beds were put together the driver only put one bolt on barely holding the headboard up. When I asked if he was going to put the mirror on the dresser, he replied - it wasn't on there when we moved it and again refused to put it on. For the amount of money you pay a big company to move you, the service was terrible. You would think they would be pleasant and helpful. All the salesman and manager did was apologize for the drivers behavior, saying he was having a bad day. I would never recommend this company to anyone, ever. Horrible experience! Save yourself the trouble and find a different company.

I was packed up by Allied, on the 4th of May, 2020, in Utah and my belongings Were due to arrive on the 9th, in California. I was informed on the 8th that the driver had Covid-19 symptoms but refused to get tested and that they would not deliver until I got tested and it was negative. I wore a mask the whole day and the movers were not as strict with their own mask wearing. This is contradictory and ludicrous. You expose me, not make your staff get tested, force me to get tested and breach a contract. On top of that you won’t let me get additional insurance since my belongings are sitting somewhere unattended. This is beyond belief!

I was impressed with the care that was taken with my possessions. Every item was wrapped and packed carefully. The same care was taken when the van was unloaded and placed in my new house.
