  I was very impressed with the service I received from Alvin’s Moving Service. Everyone was very polite and professional. The 2 young teenagers were very hard workers. All the way from the receptionist to the owner I was very, very, pleased with this company.Thanks for making our move so much easier.

  This company has good rates and they are very professional. The only issue I had is that the secretary told me that assembly is included in the price which is not accurate. The company charges extra to assemble any furniture. Other than that the movers were careful with my items and they were very respectful. I’d recommend them to anyone looking for movers.

  I'll start with the positives: They showed up on time and the movers were very polite, nice guys. 2 of the 3 were not very experienced, but the foreman? Owner? Team lead? was on hand to guide them. Unfortunately, the foreman didn't stick around more than a few minutes - just long enough to set the movers in motion and refuse to move some of my stuff ("we don't move TVs because last week a customer accused us of breaking hers - but she couldn't prove it wasn't broken beforehand so we don't move TVs anymore" what??) He stated that we underestimated the amount of trucks we would need - possible, but we aren't the experts here. We don't know how to eyeball how many truckloads of stuff we own. We ended up having to rent a box truck and two movers out of Texas to finish our move. One of the movers ran over my mailbox. He was very apologetic. The movers damaged 3 pieces of furniture trying to get them into my new place (again, they weren't very experienced and I don't blame them. The foreman bailed early on this part too, so they had no instruction). One box, clearly labeled "deep freeze," ended up in a pile of other boxes and we didn't find it for a few days. TL/DR: Polite, hard workers, but there needs to be an experienced hand or, ideally, a foreman who actually sticks around to direct the move. One star for how quickly they worked.

  We apologize if we inconvenienced you in anyway. However we as a company we are professionals. We have been in the moving business for 30 years. Sorry if you disagree; the 2 movers you are talking about was in training that day. It was there 1st day on the job. The other mover was the supervisor over that move. We take pride in our work & believe in handling all items with care as if they was our own items. Lets discuss what really happened When you & your husband called for a quote we went thru a very detailed room by room check list you signed and agreed (when you came to pay your deposit) that there was no additional items to add to the list. This list is how we came up with your total move price. When our trained team got to your resident you then decided that you wanted to add several items we explained that we could but it would be an additional cost since it would take and fill up another 26ft truck you rejected our offer. However we did add a few of the extra items onto the truck we already had there. We also loaded items up in a pickup truck that you was selling again at no additional cost. The mail box we offered to be fix you rejected that as well you stated “ you wasn’t worried about it because you was moving & that you had ran over it a few times yourself.” Very rarely almost never does something get damaged during our services but if it does we repair it ; none of this excuses the drivers actions. As far as the furniture damaged goes this is the 1st we have heard about it. If we would of known sooner than 3 weeks after the move we could of set someone out to assessed the damage & go from there. We was not informed about moving a TV (since it wasn’t on the list & you stated that y’all would be the ones moving the tv’s) that is the reason the movers didn’t move it. We have no clue where the other stuff came from about a damaged tv that is one thing that has never been damaged in 30 years. We had 2 moves that day & the owner/supervisor could not be at both moves at the same time, again sorry if this inconvenienced you. We hate that you feel like you didn’t have the best experience.
