  Excellent movers! Highly recommend. They were fast, courteous, professional, and just really nice guys. Took great care of my belongings and wrapped all furniture so nothing was damaged. Took about 3 1/2 hours to load and unload a 750 sq ft apartment (both locations having 2 flights of stairs). Will def recommend Around the Block Movers to my friends.

  Around The Block Moving dishonestly charged me $100 for a move they DID NOT even start! When I phoned, I was in a panic because my the morning of my move day, my previously booked movers, Legend Movers/A-1 moving company, stated they didn't have me on the books for my move, even though they had sent me an email confirming the move the night before. Around The Block Moving told me they could accomodate me that day and asked for a $100 deposit that would be fully refundable after they moved me. The misunderstanding was with Legend Movers/A-1 moving company, who ended up calling me saying they were on their way after I paid Around The Block Moving. When I asked if they were Around The Block Moving, they stated yes, and then I confirmed it 3 times. Obviously, they lied to me, but how was I to know until they showed up. After they started moving my stuff, I got a call from Around The Block saying they were on their way and I, honestly, thought they were the ones moving me! When I told the guy on the phone this, they said they would have the manager call me. Not only did they not call me me to discuss the situation, they did not return the 3 voice messages I left them. When I disputed the $100 charge, they fought it with my credit card stating that I needed to cancel 3 days ahead of time and that they wasted gas and software on me. I find this pretty unreasonable and I'd like to warn anyone doing business with them that they are dishonest and cowardly for not discussing the situation with me and, instead, taking my money. This is a horrible way to do business and a lovely way to lose trust and a customer.

  Amira- I personally booked your last minute move. I stated that the $100 deposit was applied toward your move total, but as you stated, we did not move you. When I booked your move, I specifically told you that if your other movers showed up, you needed to send them away because your deposit was non-refundable. In the confirmation e-mail that was sent to you, it states that the $100 deposit is only refunded if 72-hour notice is given when canceling a move. Since you booked the day of, the deposit is nonrefundable. It is not our error that you didn’t notice which moving company was moving you. The crew was sent to move you & yes, that doesn’t come for free.

  Mike was very professional and timely. He did a fantastic job taking care of my items while also doing things quickly. John was awesome as well. Great job and will definitely be using around the block moving for my next move.
