  So incredibly disappointed with Bekins. We were in a big rush to move so we hired Bekins even though they are way overpriced. We signed the paperwork and scheduled everything. When the day came to move, they never showed up. We were completely in boxes and ready to go, but they didn’t come and when I called to ask what happened, they kept transferring me to different people and putting me on hold for an hour until someone finally admitted that they forgot to put our move on the calendar. They rescheduled us for 5 days later, but that means we now have to pay rent AND and our mortgage payment for the month because we weren’t moved out in time.

  I called in July to schedule an estimate for my family. The manager was nice and accommodated the request. 15 minutes after I hung up I received 5 calls and 2 voicemails from another woman asking to change the time because Heidi didn't wanna "hang out" between appointments. While what Heidi does in her free time is her problem, I called back and let the manager know to schedule the appointment whenever they are available. She told me to ignore everything and that the appointment is still at the time she initially scheduled. Then, heidi texts asking to change the time. I accommodated thinking, "you never know what people are going through". On the day off, she texts again asking to change the time. By the time she arrived to our apartment, she had changed her appointment more than 5 times. Also, she communicates by Emojis which is extremely unprofessional. I am not your girl friend, I am a customer. Upon arrival, she refused to wear a mask and wore a super thin bandana that did nothing. We asked her to wear gloves and she refused. While in the apartment, she coughed and sneezed 8 times, yes we counted. She was clearly sick and shouldn't have been working. She overestimated our move and gave a quote of $6,000 for 2 bedrooms which is insane! Our jobs require us to move very frequently and we have never paid this much. In fact, we moved with Bekins less than a year ago and we paid $3,000. I asked if they do auto transport and she said she works with an independent guy, and that she would send me an estimate. I asked her to give me his business card, company name or something that I could have in case we do business with him. She refused. I asked for his phone number. She told me his first name and that he works in his backyard. Okay sure, I am going to give two car keys to a man that all I know about is his first name and that he works in his backyard. That sounds like a great idea. Bekins is a well known company and we had a good experience last year, but this Lacey team, specifically, heidi, are extremely unprofessional and wasted our time that entire day.

  We were offered 3 companies as an option to move. We almost did not contact Bekins because of a schedule conflict for the appraisal. We were close to contract with one of the other companies but didn't feel right about their estimate and inflexibility. Finally decided to get a quote from Bekins. Were we lucky to do it!!! Bekins was great from the start. Their estimate came as the most cost effective, it was guaranteed, the service was great and they made the move so easy. Moving is hard but Bekins made this our easiest move. they are the ones I will contact back if we need to move again.
