      TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! They hire random people that don't care for your belongings. I got multiple items damaged, scratched and others were completely destroyed! The company was supposed to secure all the furniture, but they literally THREW stuff in the truck without a care. They came unprepared with stretch wraps and moving blankets in spite of me providing them with pictures of what exactly needed to be wrapped. Additionally, they came with a small truck that could not fit all the items. As a result multiple items were left behind! This was a huge inconvenience as I had to take a day off, get a U-Hall and move the items. It took several weeks to get someone to respond to my complaints. When I disagreed with their damage retribution estimate, they have now completely seized communication! This is the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY IN ALL KINDS OF IMAGINABLE WAYS (NOT ONLY MOVING) THAT I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!!!

      I used Bellhop in September of 2020 and still get frustrated when I think about the experience. We were booked in the afternoon, which means the movers were already tired from a morning move. To move a two bedroom apartment, I was quoted around $600 if I remember correctly. No problem. However, it took them way longer than they expected and was charged over $1,000. There were only two men and they did not fit everything in the truck due to poor packing of the truck (they brought the couch down last). They realized it wouldn't fit after bringing my couch down to the front lawn, so they left it there while they ran to empty the truck at the new apartment (thankfully close by). I sat on the front lawn with my couch waiting for them to come back. We eventually got back to the apartment and the men were clearly tired and hadn't taken any breaks to eat. On top of my frustrations with the huge jump in price, length of move, having to sit in the cold waiting for them to come back to get the couch, and the scratches on my furniture, I also felt so bad for these guys who were there well into the evening. I called Bellhop at the time to argue about the price and got no where. I definitely do not recommend this company.

We aim to provide accurate time estimates based on the inventory provided during the booking process. Our system reflects that we reduced your bill by $229 to account for the additional time of two truckloads and the overall experience. We understand that your final bill was above the original $784 estimate; however, we feel the bill is fair and accurate for the non-stop labor provided as a pay-as-you-go service. We also apologize for the scratches you located on your furniture. Unfortunately, we are unable to process a damage claim given the time that has passed since the move, but in light of the poor service, we've refunded an additional $50 to account for the damage. Please allow 3-5 business days to receive this amount in your account. We sincerely hope to redeem this experience in the future with an accurate estimate and more efficient service. Thank you.

      Pros: the movers came on time, the onboarding/reservation process is smooth and easy Cons: supposed to be a 3 man moving team mover called out a day before- still didn’t find anyone to replace said person, wasn’t notified- nothing. With the duo that showed up move ended being an additional 2 hours- they charge you per hour. No sense of urgency from the movers... DAMAGES, DAMAGES, DAMAGES- shattered a glass table, even when it was bubble wrapped and taped and had a moving blanket over it. They still managed to break it. Leather couch is scratched up, vanity and wooden tables chipped. A complete lack of care, prep, and equipment And to top it all off- they left an incomplete job. Told me they had another job to get to after they completely disassembled my bed- that they weren’t putting it back together. Had to basically talk them out of it and one of them promised to come back. The unprofessionalism is mind numbing! Also, they tell you they charge you 48 hrs AFTER your date of service. Better look at your bank account- they take the $$ out 48 hrs BEFORE your move! Fraudulent vibes to capture your money and have to beg/contest to get it back. Moving is already stressful- don’t trust them and look elsewhere
