  Great piano moving service. We recently moved our grand piano and the two movers were very friendly and professional. They did it quick but carefully. Only thing that could be improved is their time slot communication: You get a 3 hour window on the day of moving, so you need to be ready at 8am but you might get a window that's 2pm-5pm. Getting a slot on the day before would be less stressful. Edit: The 3 hour window is given 1 day in advance, except on Mondays. Thanks for the clarification.

  Lars, thank you for your honest review. We love positive feedback and criticism. As for time slots, we are closed over the weekend so if a customer books for a Monday we cannot provide a time window until that morning. However, if they were to book Tuesday through Saturday we would provide the 3 hour time frame around 3pm the day prior to their move. My apologies if this was not explained while discussing available move dates with you. We definitely hope to move your beloved piano again in the future.

  I scheduled a piano move with Encore several weeks in advance. A night before the moving date, they left me a voicemail: "there is an emergency with one of our movers we are canceling the move for tomorrow ". I understand that emergencies happen. The problem was in the way the company handled it. The voicemail was left 4 minutes before their office closing time. Nobody replied my calls/emails that night. Nobody apologized. Nobody suggested an alternate date. For the whole night I was left in limbo. Luckily, I was able to arrange a different company at the eleventh hour. Encore people called the next day, but the piano was already moved. Avoid Encore Piano Moving Company. They're neither professional no reliable. Zero stars.

  I used Encore for moving a piano across town and experienced multiple delays, resulting in the actual delivery being 5 days after expected (I hope, delivery hasn't occurred yet). I first messaged the company several days before the expected move, providing the date, addresses and phone numbers for both pick-up and delivery. This was confirmed, but nobody called me the day before to provide a pick-up time window. The day of, I called and was told that I was actually not put onto the schedule for that day. The owner was nice enough to squeeze in a pick-up that day, but the delivery would have to be the next day. The next day, nobody showed up to deliver the piano. I called again and was told that the piano would not be able to be delivered until the following week, the earliest date being 5 days after the original date I had expected to pick-up and deliver the piano. Do not work with this mover unless you are willing to call to confirm and re-confirm the move details. Pricing is cheap, but you must be willing to tolerate delays.
