  My daughter moved today and we worked closely with the moving team. All members worked hard but I want to give a special shout-out to Billy. He was really on top of his game, worked efficiently and had a great work ethic. Thanks to the entire team for a successful and safe move! Well done! Highly recommended Ambrose Moving.

  If you want to have a supposedly professional mover crew spend 12+ hours moving an already pre-packed 3 bedroom apartment, damage furniture, charge extra by adding new men in the middle, then still neglect to complete the job, then sure go ahead hire this company and burn your money. My family has moved over 25 times in various cities using professional movers and this hands down, above all else, the worst. That's quite a high feat. I came to Philly to help my parents move. They spent weeks leading up to the move packing stuff into regular sized boxes & breaking down furniture to make sure the move went safely, despite being borderline sick with exhaustion. The day of the move, our excitement to get it over with turned into utter confusion when it took the a crew of 3 men *8 hours* to even load the truck. Instead of taking the boxes out then loading them to fit the truck, they'd take a few out of the apartment, load the truck, then have to re-shuffle the content of the truck, creating unnecessary work. [Damages]: Toward the afternoon, in a rush to finish the move, they started to mishandle the furniture (including throwing bare mattress in the truck floor turning parts black ash, majorly scratching up furniture that they lugged without covering them in protective blankets, and even neglecting and throwing away essential screws). [Overcharge]: They added & charged us for 2 extra men in the afternoon when we had no other option if we wanted to finish the move within the day. They claimed we hadn't mentioned that we had a storage and that required additional men. HOWEVER, they also completely FORGOT this storage area so my elderly father and I (a 30 yr old female) then spent the next day 1) asking a place we already moved out of to please let us in, 2) taking multiple trips to move the boxes ourselves. We really didn't want to leave a review because it's hard work. We were shocked by the sheer incompetence that bordered on fraudulent. We were so disgusted were going to just pay 2x what we expected and never see them again. But the final straw was when they - instead of being accommodating or apologetic in the slightest about not completing the job or overcharging us - tried to blame the situation on us and further exacerbated my parents' distress. They accused us after the 11th hour of lying about the amount of stuff we had (when they misheard our "3 bedroom but 2 beds" as 2 bedrooms). Why would we lie? We pay by the hour. And when we had moved in in 2014 we had the same amount of stuff and yet it had taken another crew half the time. Ultimately we paid double (!) the quote given by the next competitor, still had to move our own stuff because the crew of 5 didn't finish the job, got accused of lying, and have to replace our furniture. Thanks a lot.
