  I'm a repeat customer of J & P - I've used them three or four times over the years. But this last move will, unfortunately, be the last. First thing to note is that the guys they hire to move are extremely professional and courteous. My problem this time around was with the company. I paid for J & P to pack and move my televisions. Mistakes of course happen and one of the movers cracked my TV screen. When I called to make a claim, they offered me a check for $20 to replace the TV - which had been purchased six months earlier. When I called to ask how they came up with that amount, I was told that they were only allowed to offer me what was stated on the contract. I reminded them of my repeat business, but was repeatedly told there was nothing more they were willing to do. I'd caution using J & P. I recognize that moving can be a tough process and that there can be mistakes. But in my opinion, the company will not do what they should to make it right.

  I just recently moved again (3 times in the past year and a half or so) and used J&P for my move. As usual, they were prompt and got the move done in record time. They showed up on time, had my whole apartment's worth of stuff loaded in approximately an hour and a half. We were at the new place within in an hour (even driving from Westmont to Chicago's south side). They got me unloaded promptly, put my bed and everything together (Including fixing some broken screws on the bed) and we were done by 12:30. Ken, Kenny and Anthony were all very nice guys and if I ever have to move again (ugh!), I will definitely be calling them again.
