We hired Jeff Star Movers for our short move within Royal Oak. Communication was great initially but the rest of the experience wasn't. They were quite reckless with our belongings, damaging our coffee table, brand new desk, and multiple walls. When we called to complain and make an insurance claim on the broken items, they blocked my husband's phone number and have had zero communication with us. One of the movers had 8 stiches in his hand which was bleeding. They seemed like hard workers, but like they just wanted to get the job done as quickly as possible. The guy with the stiches tried moving our peloton off the moving truck by himself - we had to run over and help him when we saw or I'm sure it would have ended badly. In the end, they tried charging us $600 more than the estimated cost for a 2 hour move - including additional time that was inaccurate, a heavy item charge for moving our treadmill which they did not move, and a 'stair' charge for all 3 men x2. They did end up refunding the heavy item charge and some of the time, but it all felt very scammy. I would just go with someone more reputable, even if their initial quotes are a bit more. You'll likely end up paying the same amount, but you're likely to have better communication and ways to remedy damaged items and other issues.

Jeff star movers was able to accommodate my last minute moving needs. Jackie did a great job communicating with me both before and during the process to make sure things were going smoothly. The moving team showed up on time, and promptly started packing the truck. They worked hard and I was satisfied with the service provided While not the cheapest option I have no regrets choosing their services and I'd use them again in the future.
