Luxe moving is by far the worst moving company in the industry. They destroyed everything we own during our move from California to Michigan. After months of telling lies and giving us the run around they never offered a single penny to help clean up their mess or replace any of our belongings. Now I have to pay an attorney thousands of dollars to take them to federal court. This whole thing has been a nightmare I would not wish upon my worst enemy. Do not hire them, do not trust Alex or anyone from this company. They will lie through their teeth and leave you with nothing. Ask them if they even have a proper contract with Penske to be able to move furniture or proper insurance. Scam sham run!

We are extremely disappointed in this company. Luxe significantly underestimated the size vehicle it would take to move our household goods resulting in the company needing to rent an additional U-Haul truck on the day of the move and pay an additional driver for our 1300+ mile move. This resulted in a 50% increase in our costs. Even with that additional truck they left two items behind including a 24-foot extension ladder and didn't tell us they did that until we asked about it on the other end of the move. We had significant damage to our bedroom set, kitchen chairs, nightstand, piano, speaker, and refrigerator, small damage to our couch, and others. Luxe also broke off a leg to our cast aluminum patio table making this $500+ table unusable. What was sad, is Luxe said that none of the movers or drivers noticed the table had a broken leg and yet they propped it up with chair to keep it from tipping over when they put it on our patio. Most of the damage was to items that the movers loaded late in a very hot, humid day. We noticed many of these items came off the truck with zero blanket protection. The owner, Alex, directed his employee (via phone) to not unload everything until we paid the balance due on the original move order plus the extra 50% we owed for the U-Haul. We refused to pay until the owner, who happened to be within 2.5 hours of our destination, showed up and we negotiated a reduction in the bill pending Alex arranging for repair of our furniture. Alex also paid us to replace the two items they left behind. We have still not heard from Alex, after a week, that he has arranged for the repairs. I attached 6 photos of some of the damage. We were expecting Alex to be in charge of the move and he wasn't. His employee spent a lot of time talking on the phone and would not tell us what was going on especially towards the end of the move.

1. We did not underestimate the move, we told you from day 1 that we were bringing one truck with 2,200 cubic feet. You signed and agreed to that on the contract. Again, you signed the contract that stated you got the concrete price for one truck with 2,200 cubic feet and you got just that. 2. We did not increase the price 50%, sorry Mark but that is just bad math. Your move cost you approximately $6,000 for your 1300+ mile 3 bedroom move, and when you needed a second truck I gave you 3 separate options: A. We would assist moving the extra belongings that would not fit into a nearby storage of your choice for no extra cost. B. You could rent the second truck yourself and drive the truck yourself and we could load it and unload it for no extra cost. C. We get the second truck ourselves, we get a second driver for your move and drive the second truck to your new residence. Both A and B are obviously the cheaper options and the last option C was the most expensive and we charged you our company cost, which was an extra $3000. That was our cost, so we did not charge any extra profit on that. If you read your moving services agreement more carefully it states your rate stays the same unless you need more equipment than stated (contract stated you agree to one truck 2,200 cubic feet and ended up you needed two trucks and approximately 3,000-3,200 cubic feet). So, we were within our legal rights to charge more money for the extra equipment needed for your move. ***The main point above, I gave you 3 options and you chose option C and agreed to pay the extra $3,000 for the extra truck. Even though I gave you two cheaper options that we could help with. 4. A 24 ft extension ladder was left behind that was sitting on the side of the house and the crew most likely forgot since they finished loading late in the day. The second item was a $30 plastic tote from walmart or home depot that would not fit into the second truck because it was already packed to the brim. We reimbursed you 100% for those two items so there is no justification to complain. 5. I advise anybody reading your review and my response to look over the pictures you posted. I would be highly surprised if anybody called that damage significant. You contacted me about a week after the move regarding your outside table being broken. I contacted all of my crew members and every single one told me they saw it intact when they delivered it. So, the fact we did about 5-6 walk throughs on your delivery day and nobody saw it and you sent it to me about a week after the move was completed, everything is hearsay. 6. You are absolutely right I directed my driver to not finish unloading your belongings. When I have a customer telling me he is not paying his $6,000 bill due that day I am within my legal rights to withhold some of the shipment to ensure I get paid. 7. I was THANKFULLY 2.5 hours away, so I suggested to drive 2.5 hours or 5 hours round trip out of my way to meet with you and attempt to hash out any issues. 8. You asked to take $500 off the total bill along with repaying you $300 for the ladder and tote left behind on the pickup location. In return, you wanted repairs done to your furniture. After reviewing your contract you did not get any coverage, at most you would have been rewarded 60 cents per pound. After reviewing your contents they weigh a total between 400-500 pounds, which would equate to $240-$300. We took off $500 off the bill plus another $300 so a total of $800. So, we took care of our financial and legal responsibilities even more than we needed. 9. I would also like to acknowledge when I showed up, again driving 5 hours out of my way round trip to collect the company's money that it was owed, neither of y'all would even shake my hand. Y'all were disgusting to both me and my employee, you treated us like second class citizens and as if we were below you. I attempted to go back inside after I had assembled some things for you for a couple hours and say goodbye

Luxe moving did an excellent job with my out of state move from Arizona to Tennesse. They made the move fun and enjoyable and provided fast and efficient service at a reasonable price. They are dedicated to making sure everything is well taken care of during the loading, transporting and unloading process. Highly recommend them!
Response from the owner
Thanks for the kind words Jaime, it was our pleasure getting you out to Tennesse!
