  Had a great experience with First Step. They were great about communicating with me. The movers arrived on time and did a great job. We had several pieces of furniture that needed to be built out of the box and they were so patient building it all for us. Would highly recommend.

  Our movers William, Alex and Kevin were great people as well as expert movers. The job was completed efficiently and safely. This is my third move with First Step and all three were great.

  I DO NOT RECOMMEND this moving company. There are some great reviews so maybe the team I was given wasn’t the best however, the owner’s lack of professionalism is the reason I wouldn’t give them another chance. First, The movers took over 3 hours to move half of an 815 sq ft apartment. But only took 1.5 hours move the items into the new apartment. This is about 2.5-3 hour job especially since they weren’t moving the whole apartment. The staff blamed it on the distance of the walk however, the first apartment was closer than the second and only took half of the time. It seems as though, since I was paying by the hour, they were taking their time until I called the owner and complained. Second, a day after the move I realized I was missing a chair. I reached out to the owner for the next two days with no response. After stating that I would stop by the address online, she finally gave me a call and asked me to send her a picture of the chair and the price to be reimbursed but later did not believe that the chair wasn’t in the apartment. She automatically trusted the word of her staff without even giving the possibility that it was actually missing. She stated that she would send the staff back to my 760 sq ft apartment to find the chair in case I overlooked it. Here we are over a month later, she hasn’t reached back out to me nor did anyone check to see if the chair is here (which it isn’t). Moving is too expensive to settle for such poor customer service. Go somewhere else or request Jose & his team, he has good reviews. If the movers are great then you won’t have to deal with Christie…if for some reason you have to contact her GOOD LUCK!!!
