  Moved cross country for new job. Compared prices and PODS had a solid value ratio. Stronger containers. Reliable customer service. Costs a little less and much less stressful than renting a moving truck to drive long distance. Be mindful with current logistic issues it may take a few extra days (or week), but peace of mind has value too.

  PODS fundamentally failed me and my family. I ordered 3 PODS containers 3 months prior to a cross-country move. I was informed 1.5 weeks prior to my move that I would not be receiving 2 or my 3 containers. This was all coordinated around a new job position and the selling of my existing home. I was lied too by corporate employees saying this could be resolved up to 3 days prior to my move. Finally, on that decisive day I was told I would not receive my containers because the communication between corporate and local employees is broken. When you speak to corporate employees they are not ever able to effectively communicate with the people who actually deliver and pickup the container. There is a manager in Columbus, Ohio's location, Mike, who never contacted me but ultimately canceled my 2 containers without notice. It was ultimately his decision and he was never held accountable. PODS is not in the moving business, they are in the customer service business. One-third of my belongings arrived in good shape, however, to get them there took an extraordinary effort by me, the customer. When I purchase your services I am purchasing and experience. This was a nightmare from the beginning to end. I do not want anything from PODS, however, I want to save others from experiencing the disaster which happened to me.

  Worst customer service experience of my life. Had numerous issues with promised delivery dates that were then changed. I planned my job start date and road trip around these dates. This turned in to nearly 30 hours spent on the phone with them. Each day, calling the 1-800 number and then having to explain the entire story from start to finish each time. Was told a customer service advocate would contact me (never did). Was assured someone would contact me for a settlement dispute (never did). An associate even INTENTIONALLY hung up on me. No follow-up from them for customer service. Spent nearly $7,000 on my move. Will never use them again. EDIT: Don't be fooled by the below response from PODS. I spent an hour sending them an email about my experience. I've been "promised" my case has been sent to the team for review, but no one has called me despite my following up with this email 4 times. I have asked how to escalate my complaint or speak to a manager, and they refuse to provide me any of that information. This company needs zero stars. I have never written a review before, but think it's important to know that you'll get stuck with this company and no one will help you.
