      I, working for a restoration company, use PODS a lot! Like some reviews state, there are some glitches, but that is uncontrollable. We have been using PODS for years, and always continue to because their customer service is so well done. The employees are trained and know the details they need to answer certain questions. They also know how to source out (find) GOOD drivers. If you're allowed to request a driver, I recommend Mike Loss. He went above and beyond for me today, and is such a kind person. I definitely will be from now on.

      I wouldn’t recommend PODS, when there are comparable business out there. Although I had a lot of great experience with the ordering/delivering/and pick up of the POD, My gripe is with the way things are run behind the scenes. Ordering the POD and having it delivered and picked up was easy and seamless. The POD drivers were very nice and friendly and very careful of POD placement, making sure the pod wasn’t going to destroy anything on my property. The part of this whole experience I have real issue with is the behind-the-scenes logistics. PODS offers supplemental rentals for equipment, moving blankets, etc, so I decided to rent 10 blankets to be delivered with my pod. Upon delivery, the blankets weren’t there. The driver didn’t know about the order, and wasn’t told about or given the blankets. I contacted customer service to explain the situation. Instead of offering to remedy the situation by delivering the blankets, they only gave me the option to get my money back. Driving a stack of blankets wasn’t worth the time because the POD was already there. They’re not going to drive back out to me just for some blankets. Logistically, I understand that, but it’s the company’s mistake, not mine. I think they should have eaten the cost and delivered the product that was rented. I’m glad I wasn’t charged, but in my situation of needing blankets, I think getting the blankets was more important than not spending $20. Lastly, my last gripe is that I was charged an extra month rental fee after my POD was already picked up. It was picked up on time. There was cause for the extra charge since there was no overlap on the month/timing. So I am randomly missing $315 from my bank account that’s supposed to be there. They claim that ‘it will be put back on my account’ but I’m still waiting. So to recap, would i use PODS again? No way. I'd find a similar competitor, and use them instead.

      We are not completely done with PODS yet but have been working with them since September 2021 when we scheduled our 1st of 2 PODS to be delivered. We started in Cali and ended here in NC. Most of this process has been very smooth. Our PODS were delivered/Swapped/Picked up on time with the exception of one miscommunication (the reason for not rating 5 stars). All drivers have been super amazing and their driving skills have been impressive. We just had our last swap last Tuesday and we don't have the easiest driveway to navigate but Mr. William Greene really took his time to evaluate and discuss with us his plan to make it work. Due to him taking his time and being considerate of our landscape, he was very successful. We are so grateful for his efforts. The only hiccup which has kept me from giving a full 5 stars was when we had scheduled our first POD to be delivered to us from storage on move-in day. We had set a schedule for Saturday Jan. 21st. When we hadn't heard from them at all the day before, we called that morning to make sure all was okay. Admittingly, we didn't check the website either until it was too late. They didn't have us scheduled due not being able to deliver to our address on weekends, which clearly was information not available when we originally scheduled because we even got a call confirming our date later that day. They claimed that in their notes that they had called and left a message earlier that week to let us know about the scheduling conflict but my husband checked his phone and voicemail to make sure but nothing was in the history. Despite this minor miscommunication that caused a few days of inconvenience, we are overall grateful to how easy PODS made our move across the country just a little less stressful. Plus it was very convenient having our stuff safely stored away while we searched for our new home here in NC. We would definitely us PODS again but hopefully won't need to.
