I had used U-Box during summer because a large Pod was not available. The Pod experience was far above and beyond better than U-Box. It was a hassle to get the U-BOX dropped off and then driver stated they would pick U-BOX up next day, even though it was rented for the month. Took 2 hours on phone and multiple phone transfers to fix. Pods experience was almost flawless. The 2 minor things were easily dealt with. 1. best if someone is there for drop off. Our Pod was loaded wrong on truck. Driver dealt with it and placed Pod in best place possible. 2. Because of torque placed on entire Pod Container door was difficult to close and lock. Just had to play with it a little. No worries. Easy to deal with. I would 100% use Pods again.

There were few issues. 1. I had answered all questions regarding location, street, placement etc while placing order on web. When I called customer service, they didn't see any of those. I had to do it on phone all over again, over multiple calls. 2. Requested container to be placed on a side on driveway (fits 2 cars) so I can park my car. He placed container in the middle. 3. Ordered pickup few days before, for container pickup before month end. There were no slots. Got billed for extra month. I had to call and request refund. There were some positives 1. It was delivered and picked up on the promised day. 2. Container was clean. 3. Some customer service representatives were extra nice and resolved all the issues amicably.

I was very stressed about my move with PODS since I was moving my things from a Public Storage facility into an apartment complex in a dense downtown neighborhood. It wasn't a typical PODS move but all the customer service reps I called seemed very relaxed and reassuring that it could be done with no problem. Everything went perfectly well by the time it was over, and their city-services for the 4-hour delivery+pickup window was expensive but totally worth it when moving into a highrise apartment. The city services driver was a fantastic person to work with and meet, and he helped us unload our stuff so we were done in under 2 hours. The only negatives I have are 1) Most complicated operations need to be done by phone (such as leaving notes for the driver, or scheduling the city services) and their phone wait times are always very long. You even have to wait on hold twice because the first rep always has to transfer you to city services (if you are moving into a big city). I wish their website was better or that they had a direct phone number to city services. 2) I wish the 12ft container was available for long distance moves. We managed to fit everything we had in a one bedroom apartment into a 7ft container, and it held a surprising amount, but I would have liked the option of a middle ground between 7 and 16ft. Overall, neither of these cons are enough to dock the review more than 1 star. I was very satisfied with the experience despite all the initial stress I had before and during the move. After all was done, it turned out great!
