It is a nightmare to do business with this company. Once you navigate the automated phone system you still have to hold for at least 30 minutes because of "higher than normal volume of calls" for Customer Service. I did this often because they seem to enjoy double billing. When you reach a Customer Service rep, you wait for 10 more minutes while they review your file. When they decide that you have in fact been over billed, they start to process the "paperwork" to refund your credit card. Another 5 to 10 minute wait. Finally they assure you the refund has been sent and the problem won't happen again. But when you check your credit card billing 2 weeks later, the refund has NOT been sent! So you start navigating the phone system to reach CS again. When the refund is finally sent, the next monthly billing cycle double charges you again! When your ready for them to pick-up your pod, they don't have a pick-up appointment window available for 6 weeks. I was told they would stop billing since the pick-up scheduling was a problem on their end, but guess what? Not only did they bill, but double billed again! First call to get refund goes as usual, second call to get refund works, except they now refuse to reimburse the $10 insurance fee because they already sent it to the insurer. CS rep told me that was a final decision, I could not speak to a manager because managers do not take calls, and that I have no recourse. I suggest finding another option and stay away from PODS. I've never had a more difficult explanation with a completely! Try to arrange for a Pod to hold our belongings while we sort and pack to prepare to relocate. I was actually SITTING next to their storage yard, FULL of containers, and they told me "we aren't available in your area". I drive past them in neighbor's yards and feel like I was being brushed off. Finally, one call operator told me that yes they do operate in my area, but had a difficult time scheduling because he needed to know where we were moving TO. which idk yet....somewhere around Jax but I had no zip code...just....set the thing in our driveway!

This may not directly concern Bay County PODS but since I ordered the PODS from Bay County and since I can’t find anywhere else to review I will begin here. Hoping I can find them on BBB. After Hurricane Michael I was working for a homeowner who needed her entire home and property restored. She was (is) a widow with disabilities and I was just trying to help. I called PODS to inquire about a container, etc, the saleswoman was pushy and claimed that if I didn’t pay for one right that minute there would be none available for a long time. I explained that I was the contractor and my homeowner needed to make the transaction and have responsibility for the storage container. I needed to give my homeowner all the information so she could make a decision and make the transaction. The saleswoman again became pushy and claimed that even if my homeowner called back in 5 minutes, the very last POD would be gone. This was after a major hurricane so the sense of urgency made sense to me. The saleswoman then explained that I could pay for the PODS and set up the account and with very little effort, I could give the account over to the homeowner who could then take over the account and have it all in her name. This was well over a year ago. It’s all been one big fat lie ever since. Not only have the homeowner and I tried 4 times now, the last time involved a Notary and then PODS said we were all good. Turns out that was another lie. I had moved on thinking it was finally over. The poor homeowner has not been able to get reimbursed by her insurance company because PODS won’t release invoices to her because they still have it in my name. She stopped asking for my help because she felt bad. I finally checked on her recently and discovered to my horror that this was the case. I called PODS for the 10th millionth time and explained everything once again. The woman said she was sorry and could see all the notes on my account regarding the issue. She promised within 24 hours I would receive an email and the issue would finally be resolved. Hahahahaha hahahaha! Nope! 5 days later I get an email informing me that the previous woman is no longer involved with my issue due to a “staffing change”!? They will continue to look at my issue and get back to me. How? How is this so hard? I have signed documents multiple times and have called and spoken with maybe 15-20 people now at PODS. Why is it so hard to sign over this account to the homeowner? It’s her credit card and email address on file. She’s the one who has been paying for the POD with her credit card. DO NOT do business with PODS. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life as a consumer or contractor. I never leave reviews like this. They have pushed me to an extreme level of stress over the dumbest thing.
