  Smiths Movers and Shakers did a great job unloading our move. Jerry and his assistant arrived on time and were ready to work. They handled everything carefully from small boxes of fragile items to a large pieces of furniture. They carefully navigated a large, heavy hardwood bookcase up a tight curved staircase without scuffing the bookcase or the walls. (We felt like we got our money's worth just for that... but they did so much more!) Jerry took the time to make sure we were 100% satisfied before he left. Our move to Southern Pines went much better than we expected. No breakage, no drama... just two hardworking guys that got our move done on a hot, humid day. Big thanks to Smith Movers and Shakers! Great communication from when we booked right through when they showed up. Thanks again, Kevin & Liz

  I had previously scheduled with another company that sadly had their father pass away the night before. Having to scramble last minute, with a fully loaded 26ft truck on a cross country move was stressful to say the least. Then the team from Smith's Movers and Shakers showed up. #1 - This is the company you want to work with. I've moved several times, in town and cross country. This is the most professional, hard working team I've met. #2 - Their willingness to show up on a last minute request impressed me. No complaints, only questions about what I needed done, and where our stuff needed to go. #3 - They were friendly on top of it all. Companies don't have to be personable. These guys are great.

  Poor communication. Didn’t show up at time promised. They said they would come the next day instead or they could do me a favor and come same day but 1.5 hours later for another $50. Owner knew very well what day and time. Nice scam!

  After the customer rescheduled the original move, there was a mix up on the day. We Don't have consistent great ratings and good reviews by running scams. Some customers are unreasonable, it's life! lol
