Scam! Uhaul legitimately scams low income people with smiles and false promises. They lure you in the door with 19.99 “sales” but every time we move, it’s no less than 300.00 the last time we had our reservation. I’ve been trying to reserve a truck during the week but all the local ones were not available so now I have weekend rates locked in. If we could afford a moving company don’t you think I would have spent that money instead of being scammed out of another just about 316.00 and that doesn’t include any mileage!!! Which was not clear yesterday when we booked although I specifically asked. 1.29 per mile additional. We are literally going from one way Portsmouth to Hampton. We asked if we can drop it off on Hampton to avoid extra mileage and they said we don’t have a one way truck…again would have been nice to know. I’m sure I won’t be the last person to never use UHAUL again but this is preying on people and it’s legit sickening.

Just awful. I rented a ubox from them. The staff is very unhelpful and discourteous. They are incompetent and will then blame you for their incompetence. They claimed I was ducking their calls for payment when that wasn’t the case at all. When they realized it was their error in failing to run my card appropriately they didn’t even offer so much as an apology. Never using them again.

Front door wide open at 854 am on Sunday. I walk in and I’m rudely told we open at 9. Staff is very rude. Also they gave my truck I schedule to someone else
