Second the move time was moved from 9am to 1145 am and we were not notified and we had a 7 hour drive after the movers left. My husband did not get in to the our destination point until 2am. They only moved the contents of the apt, they needed a second truck to move our storage shed, the back yard and garage contents and DID NOT have a second truck. The storage shed, back yard and garage were all listed on the initial contract and verified with Alyssa Friday 12/10/21. Of the 3 packers that came, Rachel was a packer/mover, she did a walk through of the apt, back yard and garage before and after packing, then a walk through of the storage shed and deemed ready to move. She did not verify with Meathead movers that they were bringing two trucks. The movers arrived and realized they needed two trucks and Elijah notified Meathead movers that a second truck was needed. The office stated he did not call with that information. Two opportunities missed to avoid this epic failure, either the first packer would have called to remind then they needed two trucks and the office should have responded to Elijah’s call regarding needing a second truck. However my husband did hear Elijah on the phone telling someone this should have been a two truck job, despite what the office was saying. They scheduled a new truck for 12/21/21 and they charged me $2800 for the “second move” and every person Ive spoken to admitted it was their fault and were very apologetic, but still insisted they had to charge me for the second move. I should not have to pay for their failure, they did not complete the initial contract and a second contract was not written up when it was noted a second truck was needed. So I had the best of 3 bad options, hire a new moving company for the remainder, move it myself or have them finish the job and pay for it under protest. If they had just had someone come out before the packing, then my stuff would have been moved all at once. I will not waste one moment to tell everyone what horrible service I’ve received and will advise others to not consider using Meathead movers under any circumstances. Also I was required to sign that everything was delivered unbroken, but everything had to be put in our garage as the house was not ready. When beginning to unpack the garage, we found an antique drop leaf side table had both back feet broken off, a one of a kind lamp shade damaged, a small dent in the middle of the refrigerator freezer door and a cold water humidifier was broken.
