  As a licensed attorney who has had firsthand experience with this company as one of its customers, I cannot say strongly enough that YOU SHOULD NOT HIRE DC Moving Co. to complete your move. I paid them more than $1,000 for my move from Maryland to Virginia in July 2021, and I sorely regret it. This company damaged my personal property and driveway, and breached our contract by: (1) refusing to wear masks inside my air conditioned home; (2) by refusing to use furniture padding and mirror boxes as agreed upon; and (3) by refusing to load and move all of the items that we’d agreed to from my inventory list. The Lead Mover also conducted himself with an abusive and hateful demeanor, which only made matters worse. After a long and torturous day with their movers, I ended up having to rent a UHaul and drive back to Maryland that same day to finish loading the inventoried items that this company refused to. What should have been a 6-hour moving day ended up being an almost 14-hour moving day for me, due to this moving company’s gross negligence and intentional breach of contractual duties. I’ve calculated at least $5,000 in damages and have sent this company an 11-page written complaint detailing all of its failures and the damages caused. I was hoping that we could resolve these issues if I contacted the company directly, but it’s been more than 3 months since then, and this company has still refused to respond to my many attempts to contact them. They even refused to respond to the formal complaint that I filed with the Better Business Bureau. Save yourself the hassle and find a more reputable moving company to hire. Otherwise, you may find yourself with damaged property, COVID, additional expenses incurred, severe emotional distress, and no other choice but to file a lawsuit, which will be my next step to get some relief from this nightmarish ordeal.

  This was my first time using movers and DC Moving Inc. was amazing. Julia was quick in providing an estimate (for reference, I moved from 1 BR to another 1 BR within DC and the price was $99/hr with 2 hrs minimum, plus $99 for car and transportation). The lead mover called an hour before getting to my apartment and only started the clock when all movers (3 of them) were in my apartment - not when they arrived at the loading dock. The movers were very prompt. They stopped the clock as soon as all the boxes are in my new place. The whole process took a bit over 2 hrs for me and I could not be happier.

  I moved some furniture from DC to Miami. DC Moving Inc staff were quick to respond to all inquiries and the moving crew were efficient and professional. I would not hesitate to use this service again.
